What a week! As a national delegate, last week I had the honor of representing Washington at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. I am still smiling, and I brought home joy, hope, and determination.
Joy because we don’t just have an alternative to the unthinkable but a leadership team that I would vote for even if Trump was not on the ballot.
Hope because it is very clear that Vice President Harris and Governor Walz will work to restore our middle class through affordable housing, living wages, supporting labor, families, and for opportunities to help all the people of our country achieve their dream.
Determination to not see a future where woman’s reproductive and voting rights are further eroded, and our country’s democracy destroyed. I am even more determined to help elect democrats up and down the ticket and especially to help elect Vice President Harris.
On November 5th (70 days or 11 Tuesdays from now), the people of the United States will make history. We will elect the first woman, first African American/Indian woman, President, or we will face life dictated by Project 2025 as Trump and his cronies tear down our democracy.
I do not know about you but “I am not going back”. I know that when “we fight, we win” so let’s get out there and “do something” to elect democrats and our first woman President.
